The main goal of XCheck-Java is to automate all the tasks involved in benchmarking XML query engines, except for the creative aspects of designing benchmarks and interpreting the results. In fact, XCheck-Java is meant to minimize the technical effort of the last task. XCheck-Java is an improved and extended version of the original XCheck [3], a Perl software developed at the University of Amsterdam.
