Vito Roberto is Full Professor at the Computer Science Faculty, University
of Udine, Italy. He obtained the 'Laurea' degree in Physics at the University
of Trieste, Italy, in 1973. Since 1979 he has given courses on pattern
recognition, signal and image analysis, computer vision.
Research interests
His current research interests concern the design and application of
network-based systems. He also leads research projects in image processing
and communication in several application domains.
Prof. Roberto is the responsible of the Machine
Vision Laboratory at the University of Udine, Italy. He is the author
of several articles, and editor of volumes in the fields of Pattern Recognition
and AI. He is a member of The International Association for Pattern Recognition
(IAPR), the American Association for Artificial Intelligence (AAAI), the
American Physical Society (APS).
