How the quality system of both the supplier and the acquirer should be organized, specifying specific management responsibilities, how a quality plan should be developed, how the quality system should be documented, audited, and possibly corrected.
Independent from the specific life cycle model adopted.
For each activity of a general life cycle model it specifies how quality issues should be tackled by the quality system.
It considers also the quality system devoted to quality assurance of the supporting processes and related items, including configuration management, documentation, quality records, quality measurements, purchasing, and training.
